Following is a quick summary of past and current projects and clients with whom we are involved.
Pacific Marine Group (PMG) holds approval to undertake surface and in-water inspection of vessels and structures from major classification societies including ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV, Lloyd's and Class NK. We also carry out propeller polishing, an operation that can be conducted generally within a 12-hour period while the vessel is at anchorage, loading or discharging. Research has shown that the adoption of a propeller polishing routine generates significant savings. In January 1991, Cunard reported that “QE2” was saving US$7,000 or 48.5 tonnes of fuel per day through propeller polishing, an estimated saving of 12%. Pacific Marine Group can do propeller polishing along the Queensland coast. Removing marine growth from the surface of propeller blades may significantly reduce fuel consumption, enhance reliability and extend maintenance cycles of vessels.
*Our permit allows us to carry out this polishing at the Dalrymple Bay anchorage, but further permits can be applied for as necessary. |
