PMG have recently returned from another successful project in Weipa.
We were working for 3 separate Government clients, with 3 separate work scopes.
We had 12.5 weeks to prepare project documents, demolition plans, fabricate elements, set up plant, mobilise to Weipa and complete the works outlined below:
- Beacon SC24 Replacement, Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ). Beacon fabrication and installation and fitout. Stub removal from damaged beacon.
- Public Boat Ramp Access Pontoons, Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR). Design and construction of aluminium gangways and pontoons.
- Evans Landing Wharf Refurbishment, North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP). Demolition and removal of 2 x dolphins and associated steel pile extraction. Installation of a new prefabricated walkway and mooring pile.
The project was completed 1 week ahead of schedule and once again demonstrated PMG's expertise in remote area marine construction.
