Our Townsville marine facility crews have been kept busy the last couple of weeks fitting out PMG181 (a 54m x 18m flat top barge) to act as a grouting platform for the Amrun project in Weipa. The extensive fitout has involved boilermakers, fitters, electrical, painters and cranes and logistics and Project Management. The work has gone well and the barge is looking good. She will be towed out in the near future by Black Panther.
PMG has performed a lot of work over the last 18 months on the Amrun Project and our marine base in Townsville has been very heavily utilised by the project.
