Pacific Marine Group was recently recognised as a finalist of the Queensland Training Awards for its Marine Trainee program.
Our 11 current marine trainees are working towards either Master <24metres or Marine Engineer Grade 2.
In addition to their formal training, the Trainees are accumulating experience and sea time working on various PMG vessels supporting Hall Contracting on the Port of Townsville Channel Widening Project.
As this project will run for approximately two years the trainees will be able to fulfill all requirements for their AMSA tickets. At a time of skill shortages and an aging marine workforce the current POTL/Hall project has provided a great opportunity for PMG and our trainees.
