Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is proud to announce it has been busy over the 2019 award season, with awards for the business, apprentices & trainees!
PMG has been committed to the development and upskilling of employees for many years - with employees who commenced as apprentices many years ago now in supervisory & leadership roles within the business.
In 2019 this commitment to training, and the quality of our people being trained within the business has been recognised with the following awards being received:
Queensland Training Awards – North Queensland Medium Employer of the Year
The development of a 2 year marine traineeship program, which allows us to develop sector specific skilled and experienced mariners, saw PMG receive the award of 2019 NQ Medium Employer of the Year at the Queensland Training Awards.
Torgas – Trainee of the Year
Harrison Adams has been an outstanding employee, focused on making the most of the opportunities presented to him as part of his marine traineeship. This effort was recognised by Torgas with him being awarded both the Industry Trainee of the Year and overall Outstanding Trainee of the Year.
TAFE Queensland 2019 – Apprentice of the Year
Originally commencing with PMG as a Diver, Ashley Bean has gone on to successfully complete a Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship in 2019. His consistent high performance & positive attitude contributed to him being awarded both the Engineering Apprentice of the Year and overall Outstanding Apprentice of the Year by TAFE QLD at the Townsville awards ceremony.
