Pacific Marine Group has been awarded the Marine works by Clough for the Lombrum Infrastructure Project, a joint initiative of the Australian and PNG Governments to redevelop the Lombrum Naval Base. The naval base, also known as HMPNGS Tarangau, is the patrol boat base for the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF).
The scope of the project has been designed to benefit the local community with upgrades to electrical generation, water supply and general facilities at the base, along with providing employment benefits to the people of Manus Province. The marine work includes the construction of a new LCT logistics facility and upgrades to the existing finger jetty.
Pacific Marine Group are excited to team with Clough to deliver this project. The win consolidates our ongoing work in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific, following the recent award of the Alotau Provincial Wharf for Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) PNG.
