Based in Townsville, Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is a marine contractor at the forefront of the Maritime Industry in Northern Australia and the Pacific Rim. With approximately 140 employees working in the main divisions of Marine, Diving and Construction, PMG prides itself on its ability to efficiently undertake work in each of these areas as well as complete larger projects integrating all divisions of the business.
About the role
Candidates must have experience with Hydraulic and Crawler Cranes and experience in multi crane lifts. Candidates will ideally have experience in the marine and/or civil construction background, and candidates with experience on barge mounted cranes and piling experience would be highly desirable, although not essential.
Key responsibilities for this role will include various crane operations and other duties including assisting tradesmen as required and general labouring duties.
Due to the potential work locations, applicants must be based in the Townsville region. The position will be required to travel to project sites from time to time, including the potential to work on projects in Papua New Guinea.

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
- Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (over 100 tonnes) (Open Crane Ticket)
- Forklift, Doggers and Intermediate Riggers (highly desirable)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Experience working in Marine Construction Industry would be highly regarded
The successful candidates must have full and current Australian working rights, will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, and may be required to undergo a medical and/or police check.
