Cleveland Bay Purification Plant Ocean Outfall

PMG has been making great progress on the Cleveland Bay Purification Plant Ocean Outfall. The work is being done for Monadelphous as part of their plant upgrade project for Townsville City Council.

PMG's part of the project is to remove the old ocean outfall, and install a new ocean outfall which involves driving and trimming 72 x concrete piles, installing 18 concrete headstocks, and fitting 230m of 1.2m rubber ring jointed cement lined steel pile, with a diffuser structure at the seaward end. This has been a challenging job due to the shallow water environment.

The project is proceeding very well with all piling and concrete works complete, and over half of the pipeline installed.
