21 October 2025 Groote Eylandt Oversized Truss Barging

PMG recently completed two oversized roll-on deliveries by tug and barge from Cairns to Groote Eylandt. The Groote Eylandt Manganese Ore Export Wharf, owned by GEMCO, sustained significant damage during Cyclone Megan in 2024. As part of the reconstruction works, two large steel trusses were fabricated in Cairns by CSF Industries. Each truss measured 62 metres in length and weighed over 100 tonnes.

21 October 2025 Lihou Reef AToN Upgrades

Lihou Reef AToN Fender System Replacement PMG recently completed a fender system upgrade on an AMSA Aid to Navigation (AToN) located approximately 330 nautical miles east of Townsville in the Coral Sea. 18 September 2024 Gladstone Aids to Navigation Project

PMG have recently returned from completing a sizable Aids to Navigation (AToN) replacement project in Gladstone for Qld Dept. of Main Roads. The project involved installation of 38 new piled AToNs, and full pile extraction and disposal of 38 old ones. Pile sizes were 600mm dia. 900mm dia and 1200mm dia. 6 August 2024 Townsville Port Berth 10 Dolphin

Work is completed on PMG’s Berth 10 mooring dolphin project at Port of Townsville. First step was installation of 7 off raking piles, driven to around 30m penetration.
